The Pioneer softball coaching staff will conduct an open tryout on Sept. 28 from 5-6 p.m. Currently enrolled Cal State East Bay students who have not been recruited by the coaching staff are eligible to tryout. Participants are required to bring all necessary physical paperwork and participation forms to the tryout, held at the Pioneer Softball Field on the Hayward campus.

To participate in the tryout, please complete the following and return to Coach Pierce no later than Monday, Sept. 17:
— Physical/Medical Examination or evaluation & medical history administered or supervised by a physician (e.g. family physician, team physician)

- The examination or evaluation shall include a sickle cell solubility test (SST), unless documented results of a prior test are provided.

If you were born before 2/27/90 or outside California, please ask your parents/guardians for this information or obtain a sickle cell solubility test and present results before the tryout.
