SEASIDE, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's basketball hits the road to battle Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday, Dec. 20. The Pioneers have won seven of their last eight games including a 76-59 win over these same Otters less than a week ago.
Tori Breshers scored a career-high 27 points in last Saturday's win over CSUMB.
Stephanie Lopez finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, and was one of four different East Bay players to score in double figures.
Stephanie Sack led Cal State Monterey Bay with 16 points in just 24 minutes of action. She made 6-of-7 shots from the floor including 4-of-5 from three. The rest of the Otters combined to go 17-of-60 (.283) overall and 4-of-21 (.190) from distance against the Pioneers.
Cal State East Bay has won the past four meetings with Cal State Monterey after the Otters won eight straight matchups from 2010-2012. The Otters are looking to snap a four game skid and pick up their first California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) win of the season.
